Privacy Policy

UFOhub is run by Jonesy ("we"). We collect only what the app needs to work, we never sell your data, and you can delete your account at any time.

What we collect

You can browse without an account. If you sign in, we store:

• Your email address, to send sign-in codes.

• Your username, bio, posts, comments, photos and votes. Usernames, posts, comments and photos are public.

• Sighting locations, rounded to about 5 km on your phone before upload. Photos are uploaded with their location and other metadata removed.

• Reports, blocks, cases you view and suggestions you submit, to run moderation and your Me tab.

If you allow location access, the app uses it only while open, to center the map. Your exact position is never sent to us. UFOhub has no ads, analytics or tracking, so Do Not Track settings change nothing.

Who we share it with

Our database, sign-in and photo storage run on Supabase. See their privacy policy. The News tab loads headlines straight from news sites, which see your IP address. We may disclose data if the law requires it.

Deleting your data

Delete your account in Settings → your profile → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and everything you posted. Backups may keep deleted data for a short time. You can also email us to get a copy of your data, or to have it corrected or deleted.

Children

UFOhub is not for children under 13. If you think a child under 13 has an account, email us and we'll delete it.
