ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
As stated in Chapter 17, Art 328 of the University Code, “no student shall be denied admission to the University by reason of age, sex, nationality, religious belief, or political affiliations. Moreover, Art 329 states that “applicants must have graduated from recognized secondary schools, have complete and valid credentials, and met the prescribed requirements and qualified in the University/college admission test. Art 331 of the same Code requires every student, upon admission, to sign the pledge “In consideration of my admission to the University of Eastern Philippines and of the privileges of a student in this institution, I hereby promise and pledge to abide by and comply with all the rules and regulations laid down by competent authority of the University and of the college or school in which I am enrolled.”
Art 329 further states that the following rules on admission to the University shall be observed, in addition to every college’s requirements:
1. Applicants must have graduated from recognized secondary schools, have complete and valid credentials, and met the prescribed requirements and qualified in the University Entrance Examination.
2. Enrolment in more than one course in a time shall not be allowed.
3. Rules on sequencing of subjects (prerequisites) in the prescribed curriculum must be observed and followed upon enrolment.
4. Only enrolees who graduated from the baccalaureate level with at least an average of 2.0 or equivalent will be deemed eligible for admission in the master’s degree program.
5. Only holders of a master’s degree with an average of at least 1.75 or its equivalent will be eligible for admission to a doctoral program.
6. Enrolment of students must be within the regular registration period indicated in the University Academic Calendar.
7. Transferees from other SUCs may be admitted and treated as regular student in accordance with the existing policies of the University.
The ETEEAP is an integral part of the educational system and a comprehensive educational assessment program for identifying, assessing, validating, and assigning equivalent college-level learning for prior learning from formal, non-formal and informal education/training and relevant work experience and completion of competency enrichment and other program requirements toward the final granting of appropriate undergraduate academic degree.
The University of Eastern Philippines is authorized to accredit, provide equivalency to, and/or certify the pertinent work experiences, knowledge or expertise acquired by individuals through formal, non-formal and informal means and to confer the following academic programs: BS Agriculture majors in Crop Science, Animal Science, Plant Protection and Agricultural Economics; BS Fisheries, BS Forestry, BS Community Development, BS Nursing, BS Environmental Studies, BS Biology, BS Chemistry and BS Mathematics.
The following can avail of the ETEEAP:
1. Any Filipino who is at least 25 years old as supported by a PSA authenticated birth certificate
2. At least a high school graduate r has obtained a PEPT placement equivalent to first year college
3. Has been employed for an aggregate of at least 5 years in the field of industry related to the academic program or discipline s/he is obtaining an equivalency
4. Must be able to show evidence of capability and thorough knowledge in the field applied for equivalency and accreditation.

Aside from the general admission policy, each college has set its admission requirements.
