OVERVIEW

The R&D Unit at the University of the East - Manila College of Computer Studies and Systems aims to foster a collaborative and productive research environment. It has various initiatives to promote open communication, define shared goals, leverage diversity, and create a healthy work environment. Key activities include team building, mentorship programs, research and software output, and external engagement. By implementing these initiatives and addressing areas for improvement, the R&D Unit can effectively achieve its goals and contribute to the academic and professional development of its members.

Committees

The Research and Development Unit is organized into four branches, designed to align students' skills and goals with their specific roles and responsibilities within the unit. This structure fosters collaboration and maximizes each member's potential for growth and contribution

Research Committee

Focuses on fostering research initiatives, conducting research projects, and ensuring the academic quality of the unit's outputs. This committee encourages innovation and collaboration, providing direction for the team’s research activities. The creation of websites and systems is under the purview of this branch.

Multimedia Committee

Responsible for producing digital content, visual assets, and creative projects. This committee manages the design, development, and presentation of multimedia elements, ensuring the aesthetic and interactive quality of all outputs.

Events and Publications Committee

Organizes and facilitates R&D events, ensuring effective communication and dissemination of research outputs. This committee also handles documentation and publication, providing visibility to the team's work and maintaining engagement with the academic community, as well as managing the team's presence on social media platforms.

Cybersecurity Committee

Dedicated to ensuring the security of digital tools, platforms, and resources used within the unit. The committee focuses on studying and implementing the best practices for cybersecurity, data protection, and secure development practices.
