The electronic unit is an embedded system consisting of a microprocessor (Rabbit 2000 microprocessor) and a set of separate electronic cards that can be inserted according to the requirements of the application.

Main Prototype Board
The Main prototype board is used to interface the microprocessor with a wide set of add-on boards and peripherals. The prototype board provides the following interfaces and tools:
Interface to RCM2000 Module (Core System)
Interface to add-on boards such as Parallel I/O Unit, Analog Unit, Sensitive Input (Zones) Unit
Interface to system's peripheral such as GLCD/CLCD Connection, CLCD Connection, Keypad Connection, RS-232 Connections, RS-232 Header
Other tools: User Switch, Power Input, GLCD/CLCD Contrast Adjustment, GLCD/CLCD Selection Jumper, and RS-232 Jumper

Parallel I/O Unit
Parallel I/O unit provides up to 1024 parallel I/O ports. The unit supports 16 parallel I/O cards, each card has from 8 to 64 parallel I/O ports. The following images show the printed circuit board (PCB) of the 64bit Parallel I/O card.
