Test environment 

The building model consists of an elevator system (3 floors), escalator system (3 floors), automatic doors, security system by laser and monitoring cameras, fire alarm system, and lighting system.

Connecting the building model to the UCSS system

The building model is connected to the electronic unit through three types of ports: power ports, four control ports, and eight USB camera ports. The connection steps are illustrated in the following figures.

STEP 1

Connect the control ports 1 and 4.

STEP 2

Connect the control ports 2 and 3.

STEP 3

Connect the power port.

STEP 4

Connect the serial cable to the serial port (1) on the mainboard, and then connect the second end to one of the serial ports on the computer.

STEP 5

Setup the serial port (1) to work as RTS/CTS hardware-based protocol by connecting pin CTS with TxC and pin RTS with RxC on jumper 7 (J7) as shown in the following figure.

STEP 6

Connect the telephone line.

STEP 7

Connect the electronic unit to a 220-volt power source.
