Sheva Guy (M.S.) is a doctoral candidate in the Educational and Community- Based Action Research (ECAR) program within Educational Studies at the University of Cincinnati (UC). Sheva’s research interests revolve around gender equality in STEM fields as well as women’s reproductive health. Her dissertation research involves utilizing Intersectionality as a theoretical lens and applying Participatory Action Research to explore the experience of women conducting and/or seeking STEM undergraduate research experiences (UREs). Her goals are to inform program development at the university level and help create holistic undergraduate research programming for women and women of color in STEM fields. Sheva is passionate about instigating and inspiring change at institutional levels in regards to gender equality and women’s rights.
