UCMAC Fee Manager ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy and security of users ("you", "administrator", or "institution"). This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, stored, and protected when you use the UCMAC Fee Manager mobile application and desktop software (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

A. Data You Provide Directly

When managing student fee records in the App, you may enter and process:

Student & Institution Details: Student names, registration IDs, class/batch details, and contact numbers.
Financial & Fee Records: Fee templates, dues, payment amounts, receipt numbers, and payment mode logs (UPI, Cash, Bank Transfer).

B. Google User Data (Google Drive Backup)

If you explicitly choose to use the Google Drive backup feature:

The App accesses your Google Account solely to upload, back up, and restore your encrypted database snapshots to your personal Google Drive storage space (appDataFolder).
We do not store, access, view, or transmit your Google credentials, Drive files, or profile information to any third-party servers.

C. Device Permissions

To provide core functionality, the App may request access to:

Storage / Media Access: To save, export, and share generated PDF fee receipts and database backup files on your local device.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information strictly for operational and functional purposes within the App:

To create and maintain student fee schedules, historical ledgers, and payment allocation records.
To generate printable and shareable PDF receipts for payments received.
To enable voluntary cloud backups to your personal Google Drive storage.
To facilitate payment reminders via external communication apps (e.g., WhatsApp deep links).

3. Data Storage & Security

Local Storage: All student ledger data, payment logs, and fee templates are stored locally on your device in a secure database.
Data Ownership: You retain 100% ownership and control of all student and financial data entered into the App.
No Ad Tracking or Third-Party Analytics: We do not sell, rent, trade, or share student or financial data with third-party advertisers, data brokers, or marketing networks.

4. Third-Party Services & Integrations

The App may integrate with third-party APIs and tools strictly for user-initiated functionality:

Google Drive API: Used exclusively for uploading and downloading user-initiated database backups. Access complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.
WhatsApp / Messaging Applications: When sending payment reminders, the App passes pre-formatted message text to external applications installed on your device via standard URI intents. No background messaging is conducted without user action.

5. Children's Privacy

Because UCMAC Fee Manager is an administrative management application intended for educational institutions, administrators, and tutors, it is designed for use by authorized personnel. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without administrative or parental oversight.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Data Retention: Local application data remains stored on your device until you manually clear app storage, uninstall the App, or reset your local database.
Google Drive Backups: You can manage or delete your stored backup snapshots at any time directly through your Google Drive account settings.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect app updates or legal requirements. Updated versions will be posted with a revised "Effective Date."
