Volunteers are eager to engage with athletes in unique ways during these unique times. The Healthy Fans program will virtually support and lead athletes in various health initiatives. Using technology, this program will connect Unified partners, coaches, and volunteers with athletes and together they will achieve their health goals.
To improve physical fitness, healthy eating, and social emotional wellness of athletes and to expose volunteers to working with people with intellectual disabilities through the use of social media and other virtual platforms.
Interested volunteers can register using this link. Volunteers will start on set dates that align with ongoing campaigns and volunteer hours will be counted on a weekly basis.
Opportunities for athletes will be shared via social media, coaches, and local program. Athletes can sign up for activities on an individual basis and are not required to register, but must be participating in the current challenge.
