How The New Virtual Meetings Will Be Presented

Live Meetings are live, virtual meetings that will be recorded and replayed later in the week for greater access to more members. x-8 Officers will be presenting and monitoring the chat to field questions!

Recorded Meetings are the recordings of the live, virtual meetings that occured earlier in the week and will be presented during a live zoom later in the week and hosted by x-4 Officers to answer questions!

Attendance is tracked in all virtual meetings using the Zoom Attendance Report which tracks the times your join/leave the meetings and the duration of your viewing.

* Choose the Session that works best with your schedule & availability to earn the full hour for attending...attending multiple sessions of the same meeting/event will NOT give you additional hours, you will only be awarded for the 1st session attended.

Student Advocacy Day - Join forces with fellow CSD students and NSSLHA chapters to make your collective voice be heard; connect with your members of Congress about the federal-level issues that are most important to you and the professions.

In just 5 minutes, you can advocate for issues that'll impact your future as an audiologist or speech-language pathologist:

1. Visit the student section of ASHA's Take Action website.

2. Review the Issue Briefs about issues currently impacting students and early career professionals.

3. Click the "Students: Contact your members of Congress" link.

4. Fill in your info—the system automatically identifies your members of Congress.

5. Add a personal story or message in the pre-populated letter.

6. Click "submit" forward your confirmation response to Advocacy Committee and you're done!

World Hearing Day raises awareness on how to prevent deafness and hearing loss and promote ear and hearing care across the world. Follow the World Health Organization's yearly theme and host events on campus to promote the day!
