The alumni of Engineering College, Kakinada, have consistently contributed to the improvement of facilities, labs, and other requirements, demonstrating their ongoing commitment to the college's growth in the past, present, and future. Their significant contributions include supporting the Golden Jubilee Celebrations, the construction of Swarnotsav Bhavanam, Diamond Jubilee Celebrations, a Mini Auditorium, a Modern Indoor Stadium, and the establishment of Avionics and Nuclear Engineering specializations. Additionally, they dedicate their time to presenting Best Teacher Awards and Gold Medals to toppers, while also providing crucial placement and career guidance for graduates.
Alumni of Engineering College, Kakinada, took a significant step by registering the ECK Development Trust on March 25, 2010. This trust successfully obtained 80G exemption, providing a valuable benefit to its donors.
In collaboration with Dr. Allam Appa Rao, the then Vice-Chancellor of JNTUK, a plan was thoughtfully developed to construct a modern Indoor Stadium. The ECK Development Trust graciously committed to raising ₹2.70 Crores, while JNTUK generously agreed to contribute ₹1.05 Crores, bringing the total project outlay to ₹3.75 Crores. Work on this ambitious project commenced in earnest in 2010.
To acknowledge the substantial contributions, the University decided to recognize major donors through the naming of the Indoor Stadium and its internal facilities.
