J TEAM 2024

PLAYERS PLAYER:  KAREN NICHOLSON

This player is a true team player. During the course of the season, she is always willing to play in any position and always supporting from the sideline if she is taking her turn at having a quarter off.  As one player put it, “she just makes netball fun!!” with her humour before crossing the white line, as well as making a point of congratulating people on their performance once the game is finished. Always the first to put her hand up to volunteer for umpiring whenever needed.  A true star.

MOST VALUED PLAYER: DEBBIE TROUTH

This player sat under the radar for most of the season, gaining points each week which lead to this result. One of the key players that holds the team together, can often been seen eating lollies at half time.  Being one of the shortest in the team has not stopped her from being one of the fittest in the team.  Has been heard recently saying that she will retire this year but let’s see…

Congratulations to the Most Valued Player for the J team, Debbie Trouth

PLAYER OF THE YEAR: BRYDIE MUSSON  

One of the quiet players in the team but definitely one of the strongest defenders.  Whether mid court or in the defensive circle, she can often be seen flying in for intercepts or getting a hand on the ball. Throughout the season her high level of performance has been critical in assisting the team make the semi’s this season. Always bringing her best to the game week after week and we hope to see her back next year.
