Most failed redemptions of EDC10 come down to the code being typed in the wrong place or at the wrong moment. Ubigi puts a dedicated coupon/promo code field on the payment or summary step of checkout. In the app it appears just above the order total; on the website it sits under the order summary. If you are still on the plan listing page or have already moved to selecting a card or wallet, you are past or before the point where the field is usable.
The key rule: the code has to be entered before you select a payment option. If you pick your payment method first, the coupon field may be greyed out and refuse input. Backing out of the payment selection and returning to the summary step normally restores it.
The discount applies across the Ubigi catalogue with one stated exception: monthly data plans. If you have selected a recurring monthly plan, the code will not discount it. Switch to a one-off prepaid plan for the same destination and try again.
Related to this, each Ubigi order can hold only one eSIM data plan. Adding a second plan replaces the one already in the cart rather than stacking them. If you thought you were buying two plans and the total looks wrong, check what is actually in the cart before blaming the code.
Ubigi allows one promotion per order. If another offer, voucher or campaign discount is already attached to your basket, remove it before applying EDC10. Two promotions will not combine, and the checkout will generally keep the first one rather than swapping in the new code.
Promo codes are also single-use, so treat EDC10 as one per account. If you have already redeemed it on a previous purchase from the same account, a second attempt is not expected to work.
Pricing and eligibility vary by country of residence, and that country is set when the account is created. If plan prices or code behaviour look different from what you expected, your account's registered country is a likely reason.
Also confirm you are actually signed in. You can buy through the Ubigi app, through ubigi.com or through the web portal at ubigi.me, and codes are stated to work on both the website and the app. Signing in first keeps the cart, the code and the eventual eSIM profile tied to the same account.
After pressing Apply, do not assume it worked. Check that the total has fallen by roughly a tenth. The worked example cited by Ubigi is a $17 plan showing around $15.30 after 10% off. If the total is unchanged, the code has not attached, regardless of any message on screen.
Remember the discount comes off the plan price, not as extra data. If your data allowance is the same as before, that is expected behaviour, not a failure.
A few things sit outside the code's control and can make the final figure look odd: local taxes and card currency conversion. Billing currency details and any minimum spend are not stated, so check the plan page terms at checkout.
If the purchase went through but the eSIM is not working, the coupon is not the cause. Work through the basics instead:
Confirm the device is eSIM-capable — dial *#06# and look for an EID number, or on iPhone check Settings > General > About. On Windows 10 or 11, check Settings > Network & Internet for a 'Cellular' entry.
Confirm the device is carrier-unlocked — on iOS, Settings > General > About > Carrier Lock should read 'No SIM restrictions'.
Install the eSIM profile by QR code or direct install while connected to Wi-Fi.
On arrival, enable the line and turn on data roaming.
Ubigi service is data-only. Messaging and calling apps work over data, but there are no voice calls to landlines and no traditional phone number.
You should receive a confirmation screen and an email after payment. Keep both. The eSIM profile is reusable, so future top-ups go onto the same profile rather than requiring a fresh install. If you are unsure whether your plan renews automatically, check the renewal setting in your account, and verify device compatibility on your own hardware rather than assuming.
