I am a Research Scientist in the Laboratory of Population Dynamics and Sustainable Well-Being at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research (MPIDR). I am also the PI of the 2025 ERC Starting Grant "The future of longevity: A theoretical framework to inform mortality forecasting (LONGFOR)" [check here the MPIDR press release].
Moreover, I am an Associate Editor for the journal Demographic Research, and I am part of the Steering Committee of the EAPS Working Group on Open Science in Demography.
Formerly, I was a joint PhD student at the Institut national d’études démographiques and at the Interdisciplinary Centre on Population Dynamics (CPOP) at the University of Southern Denmark . I obtained my PhD in February 2020 with a dissertation on "New Approaches in Mortality Modelling and Forecasting", which is available here.
In this website, you will find an overview of my research activity. Please reach me out if you have any questions or want to know more about my work!!
