Prof. Nicolò Michelusi
I am an Associate Professor in the School of Electrical, Computer, and Energy Engineering at Arizona State University, USA. I received a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Padova, Italy, in 2013, and I was a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Southern California from 2013 to 2015. I was an Assistant Professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue University, USA, from 2016 to 2020. I am a Senior Member of IEEE. I served as Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications from 2016 to 2021, and as Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Communications from 2023 to 2025. I received the NSF CAREER award in 2021, the 2022 Early Achievement Award of the Communication Theory Technical Committee (CTTC, part fo the IEEE Communications Society), the IEEE Communications Society William R. Bennett Prize in 2024, and the IEEE ICC Best Paper Award (Communication Theory Symposium) in 2025.
My research focuses on the design and analysis of distributed wirelessly connected systems using methods from stochastic optimization and machine learning.
