Welcome to UAlbany ASRC
Atmospheric Chemistry and Air Quality (ACAQ)
Research group
Dr. Zhang’s Atmospheric Chemistry and Air Quality (ACAQ) research group is dedicated to studying the chemical and physical mechanisms that govern the fate of both human-made and natural emissions, as well as their effects on air quality and atmospheric species. Leveraging diverse tools, including a fully equipped mobile lab, ground-based measurement networks, and satellite data, the group focuses on monitoring atmospheric trace gases and aerosols, with particular attention to those that contribute to the formation of tropospheric ozone and particulate pollution.
Interested in joining our group?
We are seeking recruiting 1-2 new graduate students to join our ASRC group to focus on the field measurements and data analysis for the atmospheric chemistry studies (i.e., urban air pollution, secondary organic aerosol evolution, new particle formation, etc.), mainly based on the UAlbany ASRC mobile lab measurements.
Interested students could contact Dr. Zhang (jzhang35@albany.edu) for more information.
