UAB Education Interview Day

Prepare for UAB Education Interview Day by completing each step below.
An access code is required to sign up to interview.

Each step has additional instructions to help you along the way.
Register for UAB Education Interview Day on Handshake.
Set an appointment in Handshake to have your resume reviewed by the UAB Career Center. You can also submit your resume to be reviewed via the Microsoft form.
Complete a mock interview on BigInterview.
Upload your resume for the Resume Book that will go to the School Districts.
Sign up to interview with at least five school districts on Sign Up Genius.
Key dates to remember:
March 7 - Final day to have your resume reviewed.
March 14 - Final day to upload your corrected resume.
March 27 - Final day to change your interview slot times.

Log in to Handshake with your UAB email address and password.
Create a Profile if you have not created one. It is super easy and quick.
Click on "Events" or be directed to the actual UAB Education Interview Day page.
Click "Join Event" in the top right corner.
2. Have your Resume Reviewed By the UAB Career Center.

Please submit your resume to the Resume Review Microsoft form for your first review or you can meet with a peer career advisor by scheduling an appointment on Handshake.
Please complete the resume review by March 7,2025. We plan to offer a resume book to each school district and organization at the Interview Day.

Follow the link to Handshake to sign up for an appointment to have your resume reviewed.
Log in to Handshake with your UAB email and password.
Click on the "University of Alabama at Birmingham".
Click on "Appointments". Be sure to sign up for the virtual option if you cannot come in person.
Appointments are held- Monday - Friday: 9 am-3 pm!
OR
Submit your resume to the Microsoft form and complete the contact info.
Your resume will be given to a Peer Career Advisor to be reviewed.
Your resume will be returned to you via your UAB email once reviewed.

Be sure to enter the access code to complete the correct mock interview.

Log in with your UAB email and password into uab.biginterview.com
Input the assignment code 336c35 to start the mock interview.
Select " Education Interview Day" to begin your mock interview.
You will be able to review your mock interview once you have completed the assignment.
The Career Center will receive a notice once you have completed the mock interview assignment.

Upload your resume to the Spring 2025: FINAL Corrected Resume- Education Interview Day .
Upload your corrected resume by March 14,2025.

Click the green button "Upload resume to Microsoft Form" to be taken directly to the Microsoft Form.
Upload a PDF version of your resume.
Please note the browser will produce a message once you submit the form with the sign up genius code to sign up for interview slots.

Please select a minimum of FIVE school districts.
An access code is required to sign up. In order to receive the access code you must register on Handshake, get your resume reviewed, complete a mock interview, and upload your corrected resume to the second Microsoft form. Once you submit the Microsoft form, the code will be in the message on the browser once you complete the form.

Please note the browser will produce a message once you submit the form with the sign up genius code to sign up for interview slots.
Click the button to be directed to Sign Up Genius.
Type in the Access Code. Please get the code from the browser message on the Microsoft form once you submit your corrected and reviewed resume.
Sign up for at least FIVE school districts/education organizations on the list. Feel free to sign up for more!
You will be allowed to change your interview time slots up to (Insert Date). Create a SignUp Genius Account with your UAB email address.
