What are the requirements to join Delta Chi?

_________________________________________________

To be eligible for Delta Chi, you must be a student at UAA taking 6 or more credits. You must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale), or, for incoming freshmen, a 2.75 GPA from high school. Also, you cannot be a part of any other general college or social fraternity. This means, you are not allowed to be a part of Delta Chi and another Greek Life fraternity.

What is the cost of joining Delta Chi?

_________________________________________________

The financial cost of joining Delta Chi is through dues, paid at the start of each semester. Dues are $500, and cover all fees for the member. This covers costs for initiation, membership fees, and operational costs of the chapter. Dues make up a large portion of our operating budget, and allow us to host events. Delta Chi does offer scholarships to members to assist with the payment of dues or other educational costs.

What time commitment do I need to make to Delta Chi?

_________________________________________________

When first recruited, the time commitment will be about two hours Sunday evening on campus for business and educational meetings. After you are initiated, you will only have to attend the business meetings. Each brother is required to complete 10 hours of community service per semester, and the chapter will work to find opportunities. Besides these two requirements, it is what you make of it, meeting with brothers, going to Greek Life Socials or running for a spot on the Executive Board.

How does recruitment to Delta Chi work?

_________________________________________________

Recruitment is much like scouting, we are looking for the qualities in people and their morals. Delta Chi is about friendship, character and justice. Which is what we are looking for in people that are interested in joining the social brotherhood. If we are interested in you, or you are interested in us, we go ahead and schedule a meeting. Get to know more about you, and know about our fraternity. If everything goes as planned, we go ahead and check your GPA. As long as the University says you are above the 2.5 GPA, we will give you a bid if we want you to join. Then you will go through an education program to learn about Delta Chi, and then finally, initiation.
