Here is a brief summary about my current project on chiral microresonators conducting in Goldsmith group (UW-Madison), collaborated with Lorenzo Di Bari group (Università Di Pisa) and CMQT.
Non-reciprocal feature from an advanced organic thin film
The chiral conjugated phenylene bisthiophenylpropynone able to self-assemble into ordered structures, depicts highly circularly polarized light absorption with opposite handedness from its two opposite faces.
Clear cavity-enhanced CD is observed in the resonance peak!
The spin-coated polymer layer (PVA) is used to control the cavity resonance position as its thickness can be accordingly adjusted.
The enhancement is 8-15 with agreement with the theory!
