Dear Parents,
1. Welcome back to school! (For our new parents, welcome to Tzu Chi. School will start on Sunday 9/10. AM session starts at 9; PM session starts at 1.
2. Parking lots are located to the east and west of the school. You can also park on East Main Street if the lots are full. **For student safety, please do not drive on the slope in front of the entrance. **
3. Please have your child wear Tzu Chi uniform to school. You can purchase uniforms at the front desk. $13 for a polo shirt. $18 for a sweat shirt.
4. Your teacher should have contacted you through email and/or phone to introduce herself and give your class information. School floor plan is attached. Please bring your child to her/his classroom before 9 AM. You can be seated on the right/left side bleacher in the gym. Students will go to the gym at 9:15.
5. If your child has not been assigned a class, please bring your child to the front desk for registration/Q&A/proficiency test if necessary. At 9:15, these unassigned students / parents will sit together on the right side bleacher closer to the entrance.
6. Opening Ceremony will run from 9:30 to 10:00. Unassigned new students and parents will return to the front desk. Second grade and under will go to cafeteria. Parents will then leave. Third grade and up will leave last.
7. Snack time for pre-K to 2nd grade is between 10:10 and 10:30. Snack time for 3rd to 10th grade plus 二正is between 10:35 and 10:50. **PM session: snack time is between 2:20 and 2:40. ** Must make sure that no peanuts or anything made with peanuts be eaten at table posting no nuts allowed. (In classrooms and in cafeteria)
8. There will be parents’ information session between 11-12 for AM, and 2:45-3:30 for PM. New parents who missed 9/3 the orientation at TCLI is strongly encouraged to attend. All are welcome. Bring your questions.
9. Cultural class and adult class registration is available with Google form please click the link below. These classes will start on 10/1.

10. Tzu Chi Charity Foundation has started fund raising for Harvey victims in Long Island areas. This is a good opportunity to encourage your children to bring their bamboo bank to join the charitable action. We will collect the bamboo bank donation when students exit the gym.
11. 12:00 dismissal for AM session. **PM session 4:00 dismissal.**=

親愛的家長, 老師, 和志工們，
1. 歡迎回到學校!! 歡迎新生和家長加入慈濟大家庭!! 本週日9月10日開學, 上午班9點上課; 下午班1點上課.
2. 學校有兩個停車場, 分別在校舍的東邊和西邊. 停車場滿了可以停在East Main Street 上. 為了所有學生及家長的安全, 請您勿將車開上門口斜坡!!
3. 學生請一律穿著慈濟人文學校制服到校. 夏季制服$13 冬季制服 $18, 可在愛心站購買. 請自行準備深藍色長褲, 請穿球鞋.
4. 老師應該已經和您聯繫. 請參考附件教室分配圖, 於9點前將您的孩子帶到教室. 家長請在二樓體育館右邊的座位區就座. 學生將於9:15-9:30由各班老師帶到體育館參加開學典禮.
5. 如您的孩子尚未分班, 請和您的孩子一起到愛心站由教務處為您分班, 並完成註冊. 9:20 請您和您的孩子一起先到二樓體育館參加開學典禮, 請在體育館右邊的”未分班新生與家長”座位區就座.
6. 上午班開學典禮時間為 9:30 到 10:00. 典禮結束後,未分班新生和他們的家長一起到一樓愛心站完成註冊手續; 二年級和以下由老師帶到福利社; 三年級和三年級以上的學生由老師帶回教室.
7. 上午班點心時間: 幼小班 到 二年級 : 10點10分 到 10點30分; 三年級 到 十年級 以及二年正班: 10點35分 到 10點50分. 下午班點心時間:2點20分到2點40分. 有標示不能有花生/果仁的桌子絕對不可有這類食品或點心. (在餐廳或教室都一樣)
8. 家長說明會: 上午班11點到12點; 下午班2點45分到3點30分. 歡迎所有家長參加. 我們鼓勵沒有參加9/3日在慈濟長島會所舉辦的新生家長說明會的新家長們參加.
9. 才藝班將於下週開始註冊並於10月1日開課. 請善用下面網址用網路表格選課

10. 慈濟的義工這星期在紐約各處開始德州水災街頭募款活動. 學生可以帶著自己的竹筒回娘家響應德州賑災活動. 我們將在學生離開體育館時
11. 上午班本週於12點放學. 下午班放學時間為4點.
