About Me:
Hi, I’m Ty! I grew up in Lehighton, Pennsylvania, where my passion for nature was shaped by the forests of the Pocono Mountains. Today, I follow that passion as a wildlife biologist, researching and conserving a wide range of species. My work focuses on understanding their ecology and exploring how wildlife and people can thrive together in a rapidly changing world.
Today, my work combines science, conservation, and communication. I currently work at Ducks Unlimited, where I help lead projects that use genetics, research, and community science to better understand and conserve waterfowl populations. My graduate research with American Kestrels also reflects this theme — finding ways for wildlife and people to thrive together through practical, real-world conservation solutions.
