The library is home to many books, most of them prints of encyclopedias, travel diaries, essays by famous arch-magi and primers on magic, though it also has a collection of handwritten tomes and research notebooks, all of which allow readers a more comprehensive understanding of the magical arts. Access to these volumes will depend on a student's rank, as more senior students are allowed to read and even borrow advanced texts, scrolls and transcriptions of tablets and runestones for study. Many of these tomes may be in different languages or even older variants of common Krytan, so the library has many dictionaries and helpful manuals for orrian, dwarven, charr pictograms, primordial vabbian and canthan, as well as more speculative work on the meaning of forgotten petroglyphs and mursaat script.
