Experience

Since 2015, I have been working in the customer service setting. My first job was at Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park. I first started as a cashier and made my way up to an Event Coordinator. This job taught me how to manage my time, supervise and oversee other employees and tasks, as well as some behind the scenes skills such as planning events and conducting inventory. It also taught me a lot about responsibility, for myself and others, as well as patience. As most people know, customer service can be very trying, so it was important to develop these skills early on.

After Sky Zone, I then started working at Kroger. I also began as a cashier here then moved my way up to be the Floral Department Head Back-Up. In addition to the skills I learned at Sky Zone, I also learned how to do some HR functional abilities. I now have experience in payroll, scheduling, ordering supplies, and inputting employee's hours. This job has also taught me much about creativity and how to think outside of the box during difficult situations.

In addition to working at Kroger part-time, I am also interning at Ascension St. Vincent as a Population Health Intern. I work on special projects with my supervisor, such as COVID-19 data reporting, and attend meetings. I get to observe how payer negotiations are conducted, how quality metrics are kept track of, and so much more. This internship is key for me to get that healthcare experience I have always wanted. Even though this internship is virtual, I still feel like I am gaining valuable knowledge that will be of use to me in the future.
