My name is Tyler Claxton, I' twenty-four years old senior at Southern Connecticut State University and I'm graduating Spring 2019 with a major in Communication (Film, Television, and Production) and a minor in Journalism. Best described as a passionate creator, with skills in front and behind the camera. During my time at Southern, I have maintained a 3.4 GPA, worked as a News Assistant at SCSUTV and a beat writer at SCSU News. Moreover, my education has not only provided the tools and preparation to excel in the field of video production and broadcasting, but has solidified my intention to pursue a related career.

During the first three years of my program, I’ve been soaking up information. I’ve been assessed on how well I know this information with projects, quizzes, and tests. I’m ready to move beyond assessing myself through memorization and practice. I’m ready to apply my knowledge to real-world experiences and issues
