PTA (Parent Teacher Association) is a national, state, council, and local program that advocates for children through education. On the secondary school level, PTA expands to include students. Students are on the board, head committees, and are encouraged to become members, turning PTA at the school into PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Association). Here at Timpanogos, our PTSA seeks to support the school if fulfilling their two vision goals:
Deliberately nurture connection/well being of students and staff
Deliberately develop the 6C's (deep learning) in students and staff their value to our students and school.
We seek to engage families and create opportunities to help our school community thrive, and we sponsor the following programs: Reflections, Student Leadership, Battle of the Bands, Senior Scholarships, Teacher Appreciation, and more!
Council PTA
Council PTA
Council PTA provides support locally through communication and connection with other schools located in our area. THS PTSA is part of the Timpanogos Council which includes:
Aspen Elementary
Bonneville Elementary
Northridge Elementary
Windsor Elementary
Orem Junior High
We meet monthly to discuss events, needs, available resources, and share ideas.
Utah PTA
Utah PTA
Utah PTA is the largest volunteer child advocacy organization in Utah. They advocate by participating in the legislative process and by having commissioners serve on statewide committees that make decisions affecting children. Utah PTA is also the foundation to help local PTAs run. They provide training, handbooks, and other resources for local PTAs.
National PTA
National PTA
National PTA is the largest volunteer child advocacy organization in the United States. It is a powerful voice for all children and a relevant resource for parents in the education, health, and welfare of children and youth. National PTA also provides training, family engagement activities, and grants to help support state and local PTAs.

PTSA offers all parents, caregivers, and students the opportunity to be engaged in their (student's) potential. Being a member of PTSA means that you are part of a powerful association and action plan that is focused on programs and initiatives that strengthen education and the family-school partnership.

The only thing required of you to be a member of PTSA is to pay the annual membership dues. Beyond that, however you choose to PTSA is up to you. PTSA offers many opportunities to engage. You can invest by supporting our fundraisers. You can advocate by speaking up on policies and decisions that help our children. You can volunteer for PTSA programs and events.
