A statement is when a storm/event doesn't reach potential for a warning, but is still concerning.

They can also be used for tornado emergencies.

Whenever a statement is issued, be sure to read all details before deciding to take action and also be aware of potential warning upgrades!

I also use statements in case NWS doesn't spot something or it concerns me.
