The Scouting program is delivered through local civic, faith-based, and educational institutions called chartered organizations, which operate Scouting units to deliver the programs to their youth members, as well as the community at large. Together, these organizations are run by almost one million adult volunteers dedicated to helping youth learn and grow.
The National BSA has designated regional councils who help facilitate the scouting program. Pack 67 belongs to the Eastern Service Area E1 of the Lake Erie Council and is one of many Cub Scouting Packs in the area. All of the Cub Scout Packs across the country follow the same program, so the Pack you choose is up to you.
Our Cub Scouts progress through the ranks while in the Pack:
Kindergarten - Lion Scouts
1st Grade - Tiger Scouts
2nd Grade - Wolf Scouts
3rd Grade - Bear Scouts
4th Grade - Webelos (stands for WE'll BE LOyal Scouts)
5th Grade - Arrow of Light (the transition year between Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA)
As the Scouts advance in rank each year, the things they will be learning and doing will become more and more challenging in order to prepare them for the transition to Scouts BSA. Scouts BSA is the program for ages 11 through 18. During their time with Scouts BSA, they may choose to work toward earning their Eagle Scout Rank - the highest rank available in Scouting.
PACK MEETINGS are usually held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. During Pack Meetings, Scouts from Kindergarten through grade 5 participate in activities together ranging from sports activities to celebrations.
DEN MEETINGS are held 1-2 times monthly. During Den Meetings, Scouts will meet with their own den divided by gender and age to work toward earning their rank.
PACK CAMPOUTS are held twice a year (fall and spring)
