FAQ:
Are towels provided? Yes, two bath sheets, a hand towel and flannel are provided for your stay. Additional towels are also available for additional guests in Lola and for use with the hot tubs and sauna.
Do I need to bring any bedding? No, all bedding is provided and beds made up for your visit. Please let us know before your visit if you are allergic to feathers.
Do I need to bring toiletries? Soap, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are available, although you may prefer to bring your own. As we are on our own sewage treatment plant, we try to use environmentally aware products. No sanitary products can be flushed down the toilet.
What food should I bring? It depends how much you want to cook or eat out. We will provide some basics eg: oil, salt & pepper; tea, coffee & sugar, but you will need to bring or buy anything else you need. There is a great farm shop in the village, or Tesco Express for the essentials and Waitrose just down the road. Local take-aways deliver - please ensure they know you are in a Shepherd's hut so they don't deliver your meal to us!
Do I need to bring my wellies? Our shepherd's huts are situated in the middle of a field, which can get muddy after prolonged periods of rain. In the winter months boots are essential.
Is the area well lit at night? No! We have the most amazing night skies which are unspoilt by street lights. Bring a torch or use your phone to light the way. The shepherd's huts have an external light.
Can I drive to the shepherd's hut? No. There is parking nearby for one vehicle but you will need to carry your bags to the shepherd's hut. If you need to borrow a wheelbarrow, please ask.
Can I play music? There is a DAB radio available which also have bluetooth for you to connect to your music on your phone. Please be respectful of other guests.
Is there WiFi and a TV? No, part of your experience will be the opportunity to have a tech detox! 4G is available if you can't resist! There is a TV/DVD in Isabelle with a selection of DVDs.
Can we drink the tap water? Yes, the water is drinkable, it comes from our bore hole through a water treatment plant.
Can we bring our dog? One smallish dog is allowed per shepherd's hut. Dog biscuits and poo bags are supplied - please pick up after your dog. You can let them off the lead but ensure they are supervised and under your control at all times. Please be aware of other guests.

Our ducks - Thelma & Louise, and our chickens - Jan, Lottie & Betty provide eggs for your full English breakfast.
Our resident dogs, two Working Cocker Spaniels, are called Watson and Dylan. They have become wise to the presence of dog treats in your Shepherd's Huts - if you feed them and play with them, they will continue to visit! If you don't want them visiting, ignore them, tell them to go away or call me.
Vouchers are available to give as a gift. The recipient is able to choose their dates and organise any other additional extras they may wish to purchase.
