Dear Researchers and Colleagues,
Good day! The annual symposium on Sustainable Forest Ecosystem Management (SFEM2024) will take place at the Kenting Youth Activity Center in Kenting, Taiwan, from 26-29 August 2024. On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we extend a warm invitation for your participation. The symposium aims to provide a platform for the international forest management community to come together, allowing colleagues from Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and other regions to engage in discussions about the latest techniques and advancements in forest management. Your research has the potential to be considered for the Special Issue on "Applications of Remote Sensing Techniques in Forest Mensuration" in IEEE JSTARS. We encourage you to visit our website at TWFEM for the tentative program and conference details.
The venue near Kenting National Forest Recreation Area was once a marine garden abundant with stony coral, lime algae, foraminifera, and shells. 500,000 years ago, due to earth's plate movement, it transformed into a special forest ecosystem—a high coral reef forest, rich in ecology, monsoon rainforests, and limestone terrain, offering visitors a unique recreation option in Kenting.
We are eagerly anticipating your participation in this enriching event, which promises to be as captivating as the beautiful landscape and culture of Kenting. We are looking forward to welcoming you to Kenting, Taiwan!
