Kinyarwanda
The Twa speak Kinyarwanda, a Bantu language within the Niger-Congo family and the national language of Rwanda. It is tonal but does not have clicks. The Twa speak Kinyarwanda using two tones meanwhile the Hutu and the Tutsi speak it with three.
While Kinyarwanda is widely used, some Twa communities in Uganda also speak Kihoro, a closely related dialect. Kinyarwanda is mutually intelligible with Kirundi (spoken in Burundi) and is closely related to Giha, Ha, and Rufumbira. Together, they form the Rwanda-Rundi subgroup of Great Lakes Bantu languages.
