Building Ventilation

Welcome

Dr.ir. Twan van Hooff is an Associate Professor at Eindhoven University of Technology (the Netherlands). His areas of expertise include the experimental modeling and numerical simulation of indoor and outdoor airflows in the built environment, including related heat and mass transfer processes, with the overall aim to provide healthy, comfortable and energy-efficient buildings and other enclosures. His research topics cover, among other things, building and room ventilation, natural ventilation, computational fluid dynamics for the built environment, pedestrian-level wind comfort, wind-driven rain, sport stadium aerodynamics, wind energy and climate change adaptation measures on the building scale.
