TVPult — Privacy Policy
Effective date: 1 October 2026
This policy explains what information the TVPult app ("TVPult", "the app"), provided by Jamshid Mamatkulov ("we", "us"), handles and why.
In short
No account and no sign-in.
No ads, no advertising IDs, no analytics, no tracking.
Your TVs, settings and pairing keys stay on your phone.
Remote commands and casting go directly from your phone to your TV over your home Wi‑Fi, not through our servers.
Purchases are handled by Apple or Google and checked by RevenueCat, using an anonymous ID.
1. Information stored on your device
To work, the app saves the following on your phone only:
the TVs you pair: name, brand, model, IP address and the pairing keys or certificates the TV issues;
your settings: language, theme, layout, haptics, sleep timer and favorite apps;
whether Pro is active.
Pairing keys are kept in the system's secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore). We do not receive any of this information. It is deleted when you remove the app, and you can remove a TV at any time in the app's Devices screen.
2. Local network
TVPult needs local network access to find TVs on your Wi‑Fi (using mDNS, SSDP and a scan of your local subnet) and to send them commands. This traffic stays inside your home network. The app reads your Wi‑Fi connection details (such as your phone's local IP address) only to find and reach your TVs.
3. Casting and screen mirroring
Photos, videos and music. When you cast a file, the app serves only that file from your phone to your TV over your local network, at a random address, for as long as casting is active. Files are never uploaded to us or anyone else. The app accesses only the items you pick in the system photo or file picker.
Links. When you cast a web link, the link is sent to your TV, and the TV loads it from the internet itself. YouTube links open in your TV's YouTube app. Your TV maker's and that service's own privacy policies apply to what the TV does.
Screen mirroring. TVPult does not record your screen. It opens your phone's built-in mirroring (AirPlay on iPhone; Cast or Smart View on Android), which is run by Apple, Google or the phone maker.
4. Purchases
Payments for TVPult Pro are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your name, email or payment details. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases and keep Pro active across your devices. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID, purchase and subscription details from the store, and basic technical data (such as app version, OS version, device model, country and IP address). We do not link this to your identity. See RevenueCat's privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy.
5. Permissions
Local network / Wi‑Fi state / multicast: to find and control TVs.
Photos (iOS): only to show the photos and videos you pick on your TV.
Notifications and foreground service (Android): to keep casting running, with a visible notification, while the app is in the background.
The app does not use your camera, microphone, contacts or location.
6. Sharing
We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for advertising. The only third parties involved are Apple or Google (app distribution and payments), RevenueCat (purchase validation), and the TV and platform makers whose features you choose to use.
7. Children
TVPult is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
8. Retention and deletion
Data on your device stays until you remove it or delete the app. RevenueCat keeps purchase records as needed to validate purchases and meet legal and tax obligations. To ask for deletion of purchase records linked to your anonymous ID, contact us. Please include the date of purchase, so we can find the record.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to its processing. Because we hold almost no personal information, most requests are fulfilled by deleting the app. For anything else, contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
10. Security
Pairing keys are stored in the system's secure storage. Connections to TVs use the encryption each TV supports. Purchase traffic to the stores and RevenueCat is encrypted (HTTPS).
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The new version applies from the effective date shown above, and significant changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
