The tutorial will introduce the audience consisting of students and researchers working in computer science, data management and AI, to the potential and challenges of using water data and AI techniques to promote sustainable water usage.


For Sustainable Development Water will be one of the most precious resource to be preserve. Using Smart management and technological support we can save enough water for the survival of human race.

Our Objectives are to introduce the users to the basics of water quality management, as well as case studies where various pollution control measures, regulatory policy evaluation, and development tasks have been carried out using AI. The audience will learn about India-specific datasets and use cases too. The tutorial makes CODS-COMAD attendees more informed about sustainability issues where data is increasing, and there is a crying need for user-facing data-driven decision support tools.

Target Audience The Audience should have an undergraduate-level understanding of data management topics, statistics, and algorithms. We will introduce water, AI and policy topics. Prior experience/understanding of water issues is not mandatory.
