On January 28th, 2024, one person, Michael Michlitsch III, discovered micronationalism and introduced it to his friend, Chase Klusmann. Both had thought this to be a great idea for a fun hobby and began to talk about what they would do as leaders of their new country.

January 28th, 2024 through January 31st, 2024 were the days devoted to designing Toruga and its districts. The national anthem was chosen, and everything else was created

During the creation step there was a debate on what government system would be used. Eventually, a monarchy was decided with Michael Michlitsch III in charge, with a Prime Minister elected by the people, and the Chief of Army being appointed by the King.

The founding of our nation was on February 3rd, 2024, and was declared by a speech given by his Majesty Michael III. You can listen to this speech in our National Archives

Mere hours after the declaration of the nation, the King announced the Chief of Army to be a man named Ryan Brabec. This had mixed reactions among the public with some people being pleased while others believed that they themselves could do better.

On the 6th of February, 2024, a diplomatic envoy from the Kingdom of Augestan that stated their recognition for the Kingdom of Turoga. A few hours later, Michael III declared their recognition of Augestan. In the following days, nations including the Kingdom of The North Star of America, the Unitary State of Moadu, and the Republic of Auxarcs were recognized by Turoga.

On February 7th, 2024, a rouge princess in the Turogan Royal Family declared that their sleeping chambers were now an independent nation under the name of "My Room" at the time of 8:45 PM, American Central Time. The issue was delt with peacefully by King Michael III coaxing Princess Myla out of her room to discuss reintegration. At 8:54, peace was announced, and "My Room" rejoined the Kingdom of Turoga without any military force.

At roughly 11:50 AM on February 9th, the 20th citizen of Turoga has been given citizenship. A massive milestone for what began at a very small nation with a population of 8, and a goal that wanted to be reached for a long time. The population growth was large and quick, with this milestone being reached before the election even concluded. In other news, Turoga has used this population growth to begin the expansion of their armed forces, adding another 3 troops.

On the 15th of February, 2024, the Kingdom of Turoga gained a new District in the Netherlands called the Artam District. It also laid claim to a portion of Antarctica, forming the Turogan Antarctic Colony.

On the 21st of February, 2024, King Michael III came before the nation and announced that Akshath Deepak won the 1st Annual Turogan Election. This announcement happened 11 days after the planned announcement due to two cases of election fraud that have appeared to have been done by Ace Catudio.

The Turogan Articles of Law were published on February 22nd, 2024, and put checks and balances on the three major roles of government. They were used until the constitution was published.

February 27th 2024 was a great day for both the Kingdom of Turoga and the Federal Republic of Rayna. Upon the agreement of the King and Prime Minister an alliance was formed between the two nations, both economic and militarily.

On the 27th of February, 2024, the Kingdom of Turoga joined the United Micronational Organization (UMO) in a hope that they will be protected from foreign nations along with being able to protect others.

Beginning on February 27th, 2024, and ending halfway through the next day, diplomatic relations were held between the Kingdom of Turoga and the Kingdom of Ulster regarding territorial exchanges. Ulster gave a large portion of land to Turoga, along with their crown, in exchange for citizenship. The remaining Kingdom of Ulster was then dissolved, with Turoga holding the only remnants of the lost kingdom.

Upon the late of February 28th, 2024, the Turogan Constitution was created outlining the government's roles and basic laws. There have already been submissions to add a new article addressing the Federal Ulster Territories, but they have not been yet agreed upon.

On March 12, 2024 at 12:15, Prime Minister Akshath Deepak had signed the Axel Deal, contributing 1,000 Turogan Cuartas towards the reconstruction of the old Axel Church. This move was very popular with homeland Turogans as they are mostly Christian. Turoga had lacked a church since its founding, and deciding to build this old landmark was a good choice to say the least.

March 14th, 2024, at 4:58 PM, the King and Prime Minister declared war on  The People's Socialist Republic of Ayormany, supporting their ally, the Federal Republic of Rayna. This war was fought over a digital landscape.

Late in the day of March 19th, 2024, a Turoga simulated an air battle against Ayormany, ending in a large Turogan success. Sadly, our pilot was shot down before he could make it back to the airfeild. King Michael III awarded him the Iron Star, the only Turogan Medal at the time. The Chancellor of Rayna gave them the Purple Honor, the best award that can be given by Rayna.

On March 21st, 2024, the Micronational Anti-Communist Party was formed, an alliance between Turoga, Rayna, and the Union of Siconian Republics created to help free people from Communist Extremists. 

On April 2nd, 2024, after a few battles and a coup in Ayormany, Ayormany surrendered and joined the MACP, under a new flag and nation named Ayorreich.

On May 28th, 2024, Turoga annexed a nearby road to better connect the nation's largest cities. It was split between the neighboring regions.

On June 10th, regarding an issue of a trailer illegally parked on Turogan soil, Mattistan briefly declared independence from the United States, then opted to join Turoga, in exchange to wave the fine, and if their pets got to be considered citizens.

On June 25th, Turoga became Head of External Affairs for the UMO, therefore being in charge of keeping tabs on the rest of the Micronational Community. Not only that, but became part of the UMO United Council.

In early January of 2025, the King of Turoga, Michael Michlitsch III withdrew from the UMO to pursue a more independent and isolationist stance, taking in little to no new citizens.

In February of 2025, the Prime Minister, Akshath Deepak, was supposed to organize elections and run for office. Upon his failure to do so, he became the de facto Prime Minister for life.

On March 9th, 2025, King Michael Michlitsch III gave a speech which was delivered to the entire government, stating that in response to the unconstitutional act of failing to enact elections, the position of Prime Minister would be disbanded, and that the nation would be consolidated into the 1st Turogan Empire.

The following day, Chief of Army Chase Klusmann denounced the regime, calling it illegal and unconstitutional. He was fired on the spot and replaced with his loyal younger brother, Tyson Klusmann, who now had full control over all of the Turogan Armed Forces.

Soon after the promotion of Tyson into the Chief of Army, the King announced the annexation of thousands of square meters of territory to the Empire's North. This was done to build national pride, and to formally claim control over territories that had been contested since the 2nd Republic of Lakeside. These territories, although only claimed and not yet properly enforced, gave a large boost to national morale. The Royal District (in red) was expanded into neighboring households to show off the Emperor's wealth and power. The rest (in purple) became known as the Unorganized Territory, and would need to be consolidated in the future. For the time that it was unorganized however, it became a meeting place for revolutionaries, criminals, and those wanted by the government. Along with them, warlords from the era of the Little Kids began to stir and unite against the possible invasion force that was coming.

After this annexation, Chase announced that the forces loyal to him in Antarctica and other territories would strike important regions of the Empire like the Royal Palace and Fort Plirend. These attacks did little damage, and only caused the Emperor to announce mobilization and call Chase's troops a terrorist group.

After the attack, Chase's house was stormed, but he wasn't found. The day after Emperor Michael III came before him in an attempt to make a settlement. This failed, and Chase was arrested, ending the resistance to the Empire once and for all.

On March 18th, 2025, the Unorganized territory was marched into and taken securely, ending all criminal activity. It was divided into four new districts, and many sites were named. Emperor Michael III then announced the funding of an expedition to explore some of the wilderness to the far North, which was supposedly home to many important resources, but unexplored to this day.
