Authentic resources are important.
In class, we also utilize authentic resources (materials designed by native speakers for native speakers) to help us acquire French. These authentic resources allow us to learn about the culture and people of the French-speaking world.
Authentic music is a fun way to explore culture.
We study authentic French music (Soprano, Bigflo & Oli, Louane, Gims) when we participate in Manie Musicale de mars (March madness) music competition. This fun-month long event introduces us to different genres of music and enables us to practice expressing preferences in the target language.
We have other sources of authentic culture.
Additionally, we use short films, infographics, blog posts, magazine articles, and radio reports to build our comprehension of French and to explore French-speaking countries.
