Members of the TUP Debate Society must be bona fide undergraduate students of the Technological University of the Philippines – Manila from the various colleges who have underwent and passed the screening process as scheduled and presided by the TUP DebSoc Board of Directors.
To be eligible TUP Debate Society members, the candidates must comply with the following requirements:
a. Must be of good moral character with no major school violations
b. Must pass the standards and rules of passage as set upon by the TUP DebSoc Board of Directors
c. Must have tendered the prescribed membership fee
All members shall have the obligation to be responsible at all times by:
a. Observing and upholding the laws of the country and the rules and regulations of the university and the organization
b. Acting with dignity, integrity and complete honesty in the performance of their respective duties in accordance with the Philippine Code of Ethics
c. Striving to be competitive in the academic and technological atmosphere in the university
d. Coordinating with the officer by being pro-active to inconsistencies and irregularities than may arise in the organization and the university
A person may resign membership in the Society by tendering his or her resignation in writing to the office of the Society designated by the Board of Directors.
A person may be expelled or suspended from membership in the Society if found guilty of grievous constitutional violations upon a two-thirds (2/3) majority vote at a General Meeting of the Board of Directors.
