4. What do I do if my supervisor wants to talk to me?

First, why does your supervisor want to talk to you? If you don't know why, then please ask. They might want to see how your day is going, want your opinion on a new curricular idea in your classroom, or talk about the big game last weekend. If the interaction is not regarding discipline or adverse consequences, we encourage you to form a professional relationship with your supervisor.

If your supervisor wants to talk to you about a disciplinary or adverse consequence for you or another colleague, we urge you to contact your union representation immediately and have them present during the meeting. This is your right, exercise it!
