Welcome To the Ghosh Research Group

The Ghosh Research Group at VIT-AP University, explores the intricate interactions between light and matter in advanced nanomaterials. The group’s research focuses on lead halide perovskites, semiconductor nanocrystals, and quantum dots, employing time-resolved spectroscopic techniques to investigate charge carrier behavior, electron–phonon interactions, and energy relaxation processes.

Integrating physical chemistry, nanoscience, and optoelectronics, the group aims to reveal how fundamental photophysical mechanisms determine the optical and electronic performance of emerging materials. Their work contributes to the development of efficient solar cells, light-emitting devices, and photonic technologies, advancing the understanding and application of modern functional materials.

• September 2025: Dr. Ghosh joined the Editorial Board of Scientific Reports.

• July 2025: Dr. Ghosh delivered an oral presentation on "Electron-Phonon Coupling in Two-Dimensional Lead Halide Perovskites" at the IUPAC - 50th World Chemistry Congress 2025 (IUPAC-50WCC), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

• October 2024: Ravali presented a poster at the SoPhyC-2024 conference organized by IIT Bombay.

• February 2024: Dr. Ghosh delivered a talk on "Investigation of Hot Carrier Cooling Dynamics in Lead Halide Perovskite Films Using Femtosecond Spectroscopy" at AFMD-2024, SRMIST Chennai.
