Welcome to The PHASE Lab

Photophysics and Spectroscopy of Emerging Materials Lab (PHASE Lab) at VIT-AP University, led by Dr. Tufan Ghosh, explores light-matter interactions and photophysical processes in emerging functional materials. The group’s research focuses on lead halide perovskites, semiconductor nanocrystals, and quantum dots, employing time-resolved spectroscopic techniques to investigate charge carrier behavior, electron-phonon interactions, exciton relaxation, and energy transfer processes.

Integrating physical chemistry, nanoscience, and spectroscopy, the group aims to understand how fundamental photophysical processes govern the optical and electronic properties of emerging materials. This research contributes to the development and understanding of advanced materials for solar cells, light-emitting devices, and emerging photonic technologies.
