TUAN THANH NGUYEN
Me and my wife, at the IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory 2023, Taipei, Taiwan!
I am currently a Research Fellow at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), with the Advanced Coding and Signal Processing (ACSP) Lab of SUTD.
I received a B.Sc. degree (First Class Honours) and a Ph.D. degree in mathematics from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, in 2014 and 2018, respectively. Before joining SUTD, I was a Research Fellow at the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS), NTU.
My research interest lies in the interplay between applied mathematics and computer science/engineering, particularly including combinatorics, algorithms, and coding theory. My current research projects concentrate on coding techniques for data storage systems, including error-control codes for DNA-based data storage and constrained codes for simultaneous energy and information transfer.
I am an Active Member of the IEEE and the IEEE Information Theory Society.
