International Conference on English Medium Instruction (EMI) in Higher Education

The research which was presented at International conference on English Medium Instruction in Higher Education held by National Taiwan Normal University has the title namely "The obstacles, motivation of EMI implementation and faculty members' aspirations in terms of the capacity building programs. An empirical study at Hue University of Education in Vietnam". The research concluded that:

• The quantitative approach conducted in the context of a Vietnamese university of education with the 146 faculty members as the research participants

• Obstacle factor on the faculty members in EMI implementation was the students’ poor and mixed English proficiency levels considered as the most challenging factor of the obstacles

• The faculty member desired to the maintenance of faculty members’ own English proficiency as their highest motivative factor

• The faculty members desired to have EMI field trips as the most impact factors of their aspiration for developing the EMI capacity building programs
