I am an undergraduate student studying marine biology and zoology at Tennessee Tech! I currently help out in a couple labs and love helping with field work. Most recently, my lab and I have been doing a water quality assessment of streams in Cookeville with macroinvertebrate surveys. As president I hope to grow the organization and get as many people involved as possible. I love to hike, swim, and go searching for fun critters!

Hi there, I’m an undergraduate Senior at Tennessee Tech studying Wildlife and Fisheries Conservation. I’m currently the Region 4 Aquatic ecology intern for TWRA, and will soon be the Assistant Conservation Biologist for Conservation Fisheries this fall. My hopes are to go into fisheries conservation and to protect the little guys! My hope as Vice President is to encourage more people to reach out and get involved in these kinds of opportunities. It’s the volunteer work that truly helps you discover your passions!

My doctoral research is looking into how dam removals affect river ecosystems, specifically the return of migratory suckers (Catostomidae) to rivers in western North Carolina. The Rough Fish Dam on the North Fork Mills River was built to block those fish; its planned removal lets me track how nutrient cycling, food webs, and fish communities respond when the run comes back.

As treasurer, I want to be a person undergraduates can turn to for professional footing and good company in fisheries and wildlife. In whatever spare time I have, I like to camp, fly fish, snorkel, and hunt year-round wherever I can, with a camera along for all of it!

I am an undergraduate studying wildlife science with a focus on fisheries and mechanical engineering. I have worked in the labs here at Tennessee Tech on several projects, including a few environmental DNA projects. I have done and presented my own research on a likely extinct species of fish. I have also worked for TWRA over the summer as a creel clerk. As secretary, I will do my best to make things run smoothly and make sure the club continues to be active and effective. I enjoy fishing, hunting, hiking, and playing chess.
