This paper proposes a sketch-based method for interactively designing 3D illusion paper weaving patterns. To create 3D illusions on a 2D paper surface, our method parameterizes user-drawn mask images and maps procedural paper strips onto the 2D plane. The proposed method is efficient and stable, enabling users to interactively generate sets of paper strips and their corresponding weaving configurations. The patterns can easily be printed and fabricated using various materials, including paper, leather, and sheet metal. This paper shows some examples of generated weaving patterns and fabricated results to demonstrate the robustness of our method.
