The Silph Road has a number of resources for casual and serious players alike!
This site is run by Silph Road members who live in Hawai'i, so if you have any questions, please let us know.
The Silph Road (TSR) is a trusted, grassroots source of information about Pokemon GO (mechanics, updates about changes in the game, etc.), and it's a good home for PoGO enthusiasts to discuss their favorite game.
the Silph Road (TSR) reddit: Where to go for discussion and most of the best updates/crowdsourced info and analysis about the game (when raid bosses change, it's often first reported here what the new ones are, many members have analyzed data about the game, etc.)
TSR discord: Chat with other PoGO players from around the world.
Use discord in your browser or download and use the app
To get started in TSR's discord, read the #rules_of_the_road, then head to #region_assignment and type "!silphbot #us_pacific_coast"
Traveler Card: Post your achievements, earn badges commemorating events in and out of the game, and connect with fellow travelers (and Youtubers).
Nest Atlas: Report local Pokemon nests to help fellow trainers find the Pokemon they need. If you have a Traveler Card, you also get access to special avatars for regularly reporting your local nests!
Community Map: If you're traveling anywhere in the world, you might be able to find a local Discord or Telegram group through the Map.
Just because a group isn't accepting invites through the Map, doesn't mean you're totally unable to join, but you may need to do a little more legwork (some communities do not have automatic invitations through the website turned on; while some just may not have turned that feature on, others may require verifications of your account/in-person meetings/getting a link from a current member/etc.).
While many communities have chosen to be on the map, many others are not, so you may need to search Google or Facebook to find local communities, especially in smaller cities/towns.
TSR's website is also where TSR Research Group posts articles about its findings (check out the new series they started launching on June 14 about data on shiny rates!)
If you're more into researching game mechanics than doing community building, there might be a place for you on TSR's Research Group
