This Guide Teaches You How To Block The Relay Extension On Chrome OS (usually on most/all Chromebooks in FISD)
Step 1 - Do you have it?
The only way to check if the Relay Extension is on your chromebook is to first:
Press The "Search" + "Escape" keys at the same time. This should pull up Task Manager.
In Task Manager scroll up and/or down until you find "Relay Classifier" (shown below)
Double-Click on this when you find it, and it should bring you to the hidden extension "Relay Classifier".
This "Relay Classifier" should show up in the extension page, Now no longer hidden in the extension homepage - but hidden to the rest of the computer it is.
Anyways if you see the icon on the right disable/enable page, go to Step 2.B, or else, go to Step 2.A
Step 2.A - Really Simple
If their is no icon near the enable/disable slider, then disable the extension and teachers will see you no more!!
Step 2.B - Insanity
It looks likes there is an icon near the enable/disable slider, this would be bad except... there is another way!
Scroll down until you see "Allow Access to files URLS" slider. Turn this off (shown below)
Now go to the site that you want your teacher/tracking extension to see, and then open the site to the site you do not want your tracking device/ teacher to see. On the site that you don't want your tracking device/ teacher to see, go to the three dots below the "X" button in the top-right corner, click on the three dots, and scroll down until you see..
the "More tools" options, hover over it, click "Create shortcut...", Click the "Open As Window" checkbox, Hit "Create", and say yes to any further dialog pop-ups. Now the teachers can't see anything in the window!! They will only see the website you wanted them to see!
