'smosr' automate accessing, downloading and exploring Soil Moisture and Ocean Salinity (SMOS) Level 4 (L4) data developed by Barcelona Expert Center (BEC).
Particularly, the package includes functions to search for, acquire, extract, and plot BEC-SMOS L4 soil moisture data downscaled to ~1 km spatial resolution.

To get a bug fix or to use the newest features of the package, the development version of 'smosr' is available on GitHub.
'DendroSync' facilitates the analysis and interpretation of synchrony patterns existing in tree-ring networks.
The package provides a suite of customizable functions that allow:
evaluating patterns of spatial synchrony in tree-ring traits over a given time period at within- and between-group levels that are pre-defined by the user;
assessing temporal changes in those patterns using a moving window approach.
Note that 'DendroSync' can handle other ecological variables provided they underwent trend and autocorrelation removal prior to analysis.
