Seeking self-motivated and passionate researchers~!!
The Multifunctional Materials Manufacturing Laboratory is now actively seeking graduate students interested in heat energy, ceramic composites, and smart manufacturing (machine learning). Projects will collaborate actively with people at Argonne National Laboratory, Purdue University, and international companies!
We currently have 1-2 openings for PhD students to start in either Spring or Fall 2025. Positions are open to students admitted to the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology of Mechanical Engineering.
Research project areas include:
1. Research in ceramic additive manufacturing involving the conservation of heat energy. The project will be heavily involved in X-ray tomography and imaging processing. Student experience with finite element analysis is encouraged.
2. Design and simulation in additive manufacturing equipped with data-driven modeling skills (such as machine learning). Basic computer coding skills are required (Python or C++). Student experience with finite element analysis is encouraged.
Additional openings for MS students or postdoctoral researchers are also available. For more information, please email your CV to Professor Jung-Ting Tsai at tsaij@mail.ntust.edu.tw
