How to setup the game:
I've downloaded the game, what now?
You need to unzip the archive and then launch the game by War of the Worlds.exe file.
I've downloaded the game but my antivirus tells me that .exe file is a Trojan Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.B!ml ?
It's not :) It's a false positive so you can ignore it. Go to your antivirus and find the quarantine (or history), then click on the exe file as 'allow on this computer'.
When I'm launching the game, there is an error: Error, missing library flep.dll. This program can't work without this library!
Since July 14, 2020 Windows doesn't support Visual Studio 2010 SP1 so on the newest Windows you need to install it manually. You can check the microsoft.com site and download Visual Studio 2010 (VC++ 10.0) SP1 (no longer supported) or click here to directly download it from the Microsoft site:

The most common version is x86 (for 32bit Windows).
When I'm launching the game, the 'setup' window pop-ups on my screen, what to do?
Your setup should look something like on the screen above. Let's go through it step by step:
In the blue highlighted area there should be the name of your graphics card.
In the pink area select your max screen resolution (but not more than 1920x1080) + 32 BIT! Texture depth set to '32 BIT RGBA 8888'.
In the green area select checkboxes as on the screen above.
In the yellow area select 'Disabled'.
Done!
5. I'm launching the game and the screen looks like this:
Your game resolution is greater than 1920x1080 which is the max allowed resolution in WOTW. Change it to lower, up to 1k.
6. I'm from Poland and I would like to switch language to Polish! Jestem z Polski i chciałbym zmienić język na polski!

7. I want to play on my gamepad! Not on the keyboard, but how to use for example Vision?
You can't directly assign such keys to the gamepad ingame. You can use software such as JoyToKey (here) to assign at least 'V' vision key. Without this program, you will have to still use keyboard for certain actions.
8. In the diary 'Remarks' I can't see the full names of levels. Why?
Because I didn't want to spoil you the game by showing the names of next levels. So, here you have a full list:

Known bugs:
I'm playing the game but I don't see any icons, pop-ups, or laser sight graphics.
I notice that the game doesn't work very well with two or more monitors. Switch your Windows to work on a single monitor.
My game is lagging a bit even tho my computer is not that weak...
I notice that the game could be laggy when you're playing for example on a laptop but using a higher resolution monitor, so there are some lags on the signal. On the laptop's screen game should works well.
In the 'Storm Drains' level, pushable objects can lose their collision.
The best way is to try to go away from pushable objects and come back. Also, you can try to save and load the game.
In the final battle level the enemy could disappear.
Save and load the game, it will come back! It's a rare bug.
I can see some little flame attached to different objects, it's weird!
It is, and it is a weird bug connected to a flamed torch that Lara throw to the ground. The flame will disappear when you take another torch or.. just ignore it :)
Sometimes my game crash while loading!
Awful engine bug! Unfortunately, I can't help to eliminate it fully. Just try to load again and it should be completely fine. Also changing your game resolution to lower could be helpful.
On the Swamp level one of the wooden platforms doesn't have collision, I can't go further!
It's a bug on 1.0 version of the game, fixed in 1.1 For you I have a quick solution:
Download this file - click to download
Make a copy of the original script.dat in main folder of your game
Copy/paste and allow to replace old version with downloaded
Go into the game, press 'a' on the keyboard and Lara will be teleported to the next platform
Make a savegame
Come back to your previous script.dat file
This should be used only in 1.0 version (from 12 December) !!
