Whether they will occur or not will be determined by Donald Trump. 

Feelings and thoughts of anger overwhelmed him. “How dare they? Those whom I loved so much, they dared not only to spit on my soul but, in the most despicable way, betray everything sacred, the beliefs that our fathers and grandfathers gave their lives for, to betray America! Great America!” he exclaimed.*
“There will be no mercy for them!” These words burst out as an extension of his thoughts. He was furious, but the presence of his wife and beloved son restrained his emotional outburst. Gathering his resolve and partly controlling himself, he took the phone from the table and called the Commander of the U.S. Armed Forces, giving the order: “Launch a massive missile strike. I command it.” This order had been expected, and they were fully prepared for it. Using electronic means and oral confirmation to his deputy, the Commander of the U.S. Armed Forces issued the order to launch all nuclear warheads from land, sea, and submarine-based missiles against the main adversaries, China (including North Korea) and Russia. Thousands of missiles soared into the sky. It was a moment of truth. These five to six minutes, as nuclear missiles headed towards their targets, divided the history of humanity, the history of our current civilization, between life and death. From now on, everything that humanity had rightfully been proud of would be covered in a thick layer of radioactive ash. The umbilical cord of humanity was cut forever. Nothing could be changed. A new world, a world of death, was born.
Meanwhile, the wife and son watched their husband and father, the president of a now non-existent United States of America, with full understanding of his actions. It was very late in the evening, around midnight. In the green-brown half-light of the oval room, these three realized that the most crucial actions had already been taken. 

Guided by the head of the family, they quickly exited through a scarcely noticeable door. Melania led the way, followed by Barron, and Donald brought up the rear. They headed for an underground bunker located directly beneath the White House, unaware that this shelter, like many others, would become their tomb, just as it would for countless other shelter inhabitants. No one could have foreseen and calculated in advance the risks that would arise from the nearly simultaneous detonation of all the nuclear warheads in the U.S. Army.
