"It's not about the crown you wear, it's about the difference you can make while wearing it."
The Troy Fair Queen Program: A Partnership with the PA State Fair Queen Program
Our program operates in partnership with the Pennsylvania State Fair Queen Program, creating leaders who serve as ambassadors for agriculture and community. Eligible contestants must be 16-20 years old (as of June 1st) and live or attend school in Bradford County. See our Program Handbook for complete requirements.
The Path to Becoming Troy Fair Queen
Our selection process reveals young women who understand service above self. Contestants share their vision through a written essay, demonstrate their knowledge in a personal interview, and showcase their public speaking skills with a prepared speech. They'll think on their feet during an onstage question, all while displaying the poise and professionalism needed to represent our fair.
A Year of Representing the Troy Fair
Our queen and her alternates become the face of the Troy Fair, but more importantly, they become champions for positive change. During fair week, they welcome visitors, support activities, and help operations run smoothly. Throughout the year, they advocate for agriculture at community events, local parades, and special functions. The queen also represents our fair at the State Fair convention in Hershey, where she'll compete for the title of Pennsylvania State Fair Queen during this three-day event.
Being Troy Fair Queen is more than wearing a crown—it's about becoming a leader who makes a real difference in our community. Our queens develop skills that last a lifetime, from public speaking to professional networking, while creating memories and friendships that extend far beyond their reign.
