Troy University launched the AI Forward Initiative to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into its educational framework, aiming to prepare students for the evolving technological landscape. Under the leadership of Dr. Richard Scott Nokes, Professor of English and Director of the AI Forward Initiative, the university has taken significant steps to promote responsible and ethical AI usage among faculty and students.
In November 2024, as part of this initiative, TROY partnered with the Better Business Bureau Educational Foundation to host a summit addressing the ethical challenges businesses face with AI. The event featured discussions on AI ethics, educational solutions, and business challenges, reflecting the university's commitment to fostering a comprehensive understanding of AI's implications.
