Printers help you do a lot of your work but sometimes it faces an error, which interrupts your work. There can be any problem. Paper jams, low ink, not Printing properly or not being able to print colors. But there is nothing to worry about, most of the errors can be resolved through troubleshooting. If that does not help, you have to factory reset HP printer. Resetting the printer is usually last option or solution since it changes every setting to default. But while doing so, it also gets rid of the big and error you are facing and ensures the smooth working of the printer. HP printer are the oldest and most selling printers in the market. They have great speed printing and fine quality printing. They have different models and features, depending on that the functioning and settings also changes. Most of the routers have a reset button. You just need to find the button on the router. Press and hold it for 10 seconds and your router is reset. There is also a drop down menu on the printer's panel which gives you the option of resetting your printer. Let’s have a look at the steps for the same.
· Switch off the printer.
· Now, unplug the power cable for 30 seconds.
· Plug back the switch.
· Press and hold the resume button while turning on the printer.
· The light will turn on and you can release the button.
The above method will reset your printer but if you have a different model or this solution doesn’t help you. Let’s take a look at another way to how to factory reset my HP printer.
· Go to the printer web page.
· Then sign in as administrator.
· Click on the general tab and select factory settings from the menu.
· Now, click on reset firmware and then reset.
· The printer will now reset.
When your printer is reset, you can set the date and time correctly. Since resetting a device brings it back to the original configuration. Go to settings and modify the settings accordingly. Your printer is now in the same state as it arrived. Go to the security section and change the password. Sometimes it is the issue of low ink, in that case you do no need to reset the printer but change the ink cartridges. The process is very simple. You just open the cover and slide the new cartridges in the slots carefully. When everything is in place, close the lid and your printer will start printing. If there is some other error, check for connectivity and whether the printer is connected to the Wi-Fi network with good connectivity.
